Ronnie once said "To get a job where the only thing you have to do in your career is to make people laugh-well, it's the best job in the world." Well you did a good job Ronnie xx

Ronnie Barker's genius has made me laugh with such fantastic comedy for my entire life.  Now - god bless him - my teenage son has the pleasure of enjoying his incredible talent - a new generation to be richer for this mans presence.  God bless and you will never, ever be forgotten Ronnie!

Ronnie Barker passed away on October 3rd 2005 aged 76.  British comedy has lost a lengendary actor and his talent and wit will be sorely missed.  Hopefully this website will continue to run and pay tribute to a great actor's amazing achievements and life!  I personally feel that the likes of Ronnie Barker will never be seen in comedy again, and he was a one-off talent with so much to give.  RIP the legend, thoughts are with his family at this time.

October 4, 2005.  A truly sad day.  Ronnie was one of, if not THE, country's greatest comic actors.  And in my view, Porridge was his finest hour.  Thanks for all the laughs.
